下雨天

A lot of people don't like rainy days, but I really do. Every time it rains, I feel so cozy. And today is a rainy day.

This morning, while I was still in bed, I heard the rain. Drip, drip. The rain was light, falling slowly. I didn't get up right away; I lay there a little longer.

I walked over to the window and looked outside. The sky was grey, with no sun. The street was wet and shiny. The rain was starting to come down harder.

On rainy days, I don't want to go out. I like to stay at home. Outside it's cool, inside it's quiet, and I feel really comfortable.

First I made myself a cup of hot tea. On a rainy day, a warm cup of tea feels the best. I held the cup in my hands, all warm.

My cat, Xiao Hua, likes rainy days too. Today she slept so much. On the couch, she curled up into a little ball, not moving at all.

I sat by the window, drinking tea and reading a book. Listening to the rain outside, I read slowly, and my heart felt calm.

In the afternoon, it was still raining, harder and harder. But I was out of milk at home. I had to go out and buy some.

Before heading out, I grabbed an umbrella. It's my favorite umbrella, yellow and really pretty. One umbrella is all I need.

The rain outside was really heavy. The street was covered in water everywhere. Lots of people held umbrellas and walked fast. Cars drove past, splashing up big sprays of water.

I walked very carefully, but my pants still got a little wet. I bought the milk quickly and headed home.

Back home, I changed into dry clothes, and took another sip of hot tea. Ah, home is so nice — warm and cozy.

I really felt like something sweet. I run a dessert shop, and making sweet things is my favorite thing to do.

With the milk I just bought, I made a cup of hot cocoa. On a rainy day, a sweet cup of hot cocoa just lifts your mood.

The sky slowly grew dark, and the rain eased a little. I sat by the window, sipping my cocoa. Xiao Hua woke up too and hopped onto my lap.

On a rainy day like this, you can't go out and play, but I still feel really happy. A slow day is nice too.
