It's so hot today. So hot that I don't feel like doing anything. On a day like this, there's only one place I want to go — the swimming pool.
In summer, swimming is my favorite thing. In the water, it's cool and comfortable. Once summer comes, I want to go swimming every week.
In the morning there are few people, and it's not too hot, so it's the best time to swim. I grabbed my swimsuit and cap and headed out.
The pool isn't far from my home, just a ten-minute walk away. The sun was bright, the sky was blue, and there was hardly anyone on the street.
When I got to the pool, there weren't many people yet. The water was blue and very clean. Looking at the water, I couldn't wait to get in.
I changed first, then slowly walked to the water's edge. I tested the water with my foot — ah, a little cold, but it felt nice.
I slowly got into the water. At first it was a bit cold, but after a while, it wasn't cold anymore. My whole body felt so comfortable.
I'm not someone who swims fast. I like to swim slowly. Swimming while watching the clouds in the sky, that's the happiest feeling.
After swimming for a while, I got tired. I didn't get out right away; I just stood in the water, and rested for a bit.
Nearby, a few kids were playing in the water. They laughed out loud and had so much fun. Watching them, I wanted to laugh too.
The water felt so good — cool and quiet. When I'm in the water, I don't think about anything, and I feel at peace.
The sun got stronger and stronger, and the pool got more and more crowded. I swam a little longer, then slowly got out.
After getting out, I felt a little hungry. After swimming, you get hungry so easily — are you like that too?
I changed into clean clothes and headed home. On the way home, the sun was still strong, but I didn't feel hot at all.
Back home, I made myself an icy cold dessert. I run a dessert shop, and eating my own iced dessert in summer is the best.
After a swim, a bite of cool dessert — what a lovely summer afternoon.
Alright, that's all for today. What about you? Do you like swimming? When it's too hot in summer, what do you like to do? Tell me in the comments below. See you next time!
