喝奶茶

Hey, it's me, Tian Tian! I want to tell you something — I really love milk tea, I want a cup almost every day. Sweet, cold milk tea is my favorite thing. Today I want one again, do you want to go buy one with me? Let's go!

I really love milk tea so much. When class is tiring, I drink a cup of milk tea, and I feel happy right away. My good friends all love milk tea too, and we often go buy it together. One cup of milk tea and one afternoon make me so happy.

There are lots of milk tea shops near my home, there's one just a few minutes' walk away. There's one shop I go to a lot, their milk tea is really good, and lots of people go there.

The weather is a little hot today, so a cold cup of milk tea feels just perfect. As I walk, I think about what to drink today. Before long, I reach the milk tea shop.

As soon as I walk in, I look up at the menu board. Wow, there are so many kinds of milk tea here, every one of them looks delicious, I want to try them all.

There's bubble tea, fruit tea, and more. Pearls are those little black, round things in the milk tea, the small bits you can eat, and a lot of people love them.

My favorite is still bubble tea. It's the one everyone loves, you can't go wrong with it. Every time I don't know what to get, I just order a bubble tea.

Sometimes I want to try something new, like fruit tea, it's sweet and a little sour. But I look and look, and in the end I usually still order bubble tea.

When I order, the shop staff asks me: how sweet do you want it? I usually say half sugar. Half sugar means a little less sugar, not so sweet, and I think that's just right.

They also ask: do you want ice? When it's hot, I ask for less ice, so it's nice and cold. When it's cold, I get it hot, all warm, and that feels great too.

Then comes my favorite part: what should I add? Here you can add pearls, or you can add pudding. These little things are really fun to eat.

I add pearls every single time. I love pearls so much! They're soft, and so fun to chew. A sip of milk tea, a bite of pearls — so good.

I've ordered, now it's time to pay. A bubble tea is about fifteen yuan, not too expensive. Sometimes my friend and I buy two together, and it's a little cheaper.

I pay with my phone, just one scan and it's done, fast and easy. These days almost everyone pays with their phone.

After I pay, the staff gives me a number. My milk tea isn't ready yet, so I wait off to the side for a bit.

While I wait, I watch them make the drinks. Pouring tea, adding milk, adding pearls — their hands are so fast. There are lots of people in the shop, everyone is waiting for their own drink.

After a little while, they call my number. My milk tea is ready! I pick up the cup, nice and cold, full in my hands, and my heart feels full too.

I push in the straw and take a big sip. Ahh — this is the taste! This is the sip I've been waiting for.

This milk tea is sweet, but not too sweet, because I ordered half sugar. The milk smells lovely, the tea too, and it tastes just right.

And my favorite pearls! They sit in the tea, black and round. I get several in one sip, soft to chew, I'm so happy.

Holding my drink, I slowly walk back home. Walking and sipping, looking at the people and little shops along the way, I feel especially good today.

Sometimes I sit in the shop with a friend, one cup each, sipping slowly and chatting. One small cup of milk tea can make my whole day better.

But even though milk tea is tasty, it has too much sugar. Drinking too much isn't good for your body, or your teeth. So I order my milk tea half sugar, and only have one cup a day.

That way, I still get the milk tea I love, without drinking too much sugar. Drinking happy and healthy — that's the best.
